Town Clerk

The Town Clerk serves as the liaison between City Council and citizens.

The office of Town Clerk for the Town of Bainville provides clerical, record keeping and administrative functions to the City Council.  In addition, this individual performs many tasks that assist in guiding and managing the operation of local government policy and law.  Below are just a few of the responsibilities of Town of Bainville Town Clerk.

  • Provides permit information
  • Manages requests to speak to Council
  • Collects, organizes, and maintains records
  • Publishes ordinances, resolutions and all legislative history for the city
  • Collects information and prepares Town Council agendas and other information for Council
  • Ensures following of the Open Meetings Act
  • Records and submits Town Council meeting minutes
  • Custodian of the town seal and the official records of the town
  • Notarizes and attests the Mayor's signature on all contracts
